[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 2025년부터 2029년까지 총사업비 180억원(국비 90억원)으로 의생명·의료기기 특화분야 고도화를 위한 강소특구 2단계 사업을 추진한다고 21일 밝혔다.

2단계 사업은 백병원 의료 현장의 아이디어, 특허를 기반으로 한 ‘기술발굴·기업매칭 → 기술창업·사업화 → 기업성장지원’ 체계 아래 전자약 등 디지털 헬스케어 분야를 집중 육성하고 바이오헬스 임상현장연계 지원, 병원 구매조건부 사업 활성화, 기업 맞춤형 지원사업을 추진한다.

김해시는 의생명·의료기기 기업들이 강소특구 사업을 적극 활용할 수 있도록 지원사업 홍보를 강화하고 기업의 니즈를 반영한 지원시스템을 마련한다.

강소특구 사업은 특구 내 연구성과의 사업화, 창업 지원을 통한 기술-창업-성장이 선순환하는 기초지자체 단위의 소규모, 지역 주도 혁신 클러스터 육성이 목표다.

김해시는 지난 2019년 의생명·의료기기 분야 강소특구로 지정된 이후 2020년부터 2024년까지 특구 1단계 사업으로 기술발굴 및 연계, 기술이전 사업화, 강소형 기술창업 육성, 강소특구 특화성장 지원사업을 통해 기술이전·출자 209건, 연구소기업 설립 44개사, 기술창업 76개사, 투자연계 1,030억원, 매출액 2,566억원, 일자리 창출 1,113명 등의 성과를 거뒀다.

김해 의생명산업 분야 기업체 수는 2020년 121개사에서 2024년 319개사로 164% 증가했으며 4년 이상 기업이 184개사로 전체의 92%를 차지, 강소특구 내 안정적인 성장 기반을 구축했다.
