[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 식량 자급률 향상과 쌀 수급 안정을 위해 논에 타작물 재배시 직불금을 지급하는 ‘전략작물직불제’ 사업을 확대 추진한다고 31일 밝혔다.
전략작물직불제 사업은 기존 쌀을 재배하던 농가가 겨울철에 보리, 밀, 조사료를, 여름철에 두류, 하계 조사료 등을 재배할 경우 품목에 따라 직불금을 지원한다.
지원단가는 작물·작기별로 상이하며 동계에 식량작물이나 조사료를 재배하면 ha당 50만원, 하계에 두류, 가루쌀 재배 시 200만원, 옥수수는 100만원을 지급한다.
또 동계에 밀, 조사료와 하계에 두류, 가루쌀을 이모작하면 100만원을 추가로 지급한다.
특히 올해는 동계에 밀 재배시 ha당 100만원, 하계에 조사료 재배 시 500만원, 깨는 100만원을 지급하는 등 직불금 단가가 인상됐다.
전략작물직불제 사업은 동계작물의 경우 2월 3일부터 3월 31까지 신청·접수를 받고 하계작물의 경우 2월 3일부터 5월 30일까지 신청을 받는다.
신청이 완료된 후에는 작물 재배를 점검하고 12월에 직불금을 지급한다.
김해시 관계자는 “올해는 작년보다 전략작물직불제 대상 품목 추가, 단가 상승 등으로 확대 시행돼 식량 자급률을 높이고 쌀 적정 생산에 크게 기여할 것”이라며 “많은 농업인들이 신청할 수 있도록 홍보에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
