충남 서산시가 제2회 지방행정 혁신대상에서 우수상을 수상하며 지방행정 혁신 시책의 우수성을 입증했다.
한국지방자치학회가 주최하는 이번 상은 지방자치 발전에 탁월한 성과를 보여준 지방자치단체에게 수여된다.
이번 지방행정 혁신대상은 광역 및 기초 지방자치단체가 2023년 9월부터 2024년 8월까지 시행한 시책을 효과성, 혁신성, 창의성, 지속가능성 등을 종합적으로 평가하여 수여됐다.
서산시는 '섬-바다-도시를 잇는 비상하는 서산시'라는 주제로 지난해에 이어 2년 연속으로 우수상을 수상하는 영광을 안았다.
특히, 서산시는 가로림만 섬 지역과 서산 대산항 묘박지 선박 등 생활 물류 취약 지역에 4차 산업의 핵심인 드론을 활용하여 지난해부터 물류 배송 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
또한, 그린 UAM-AAV 핵심부품 시험평가센터 유치와 유소년 드론축구대회 개최 등 미래 산업 발전과 인재 양성을 위한 다양한 프로그램 운영이 높은 평가를 받았다.
서산시는 내부 혁신 행정 기반을 강화하기 위해 공직자 시정 연구 동아리, 혁신 주니어보드 청춘어람단, 창의지식 공유방 활성화, 5S5품 행정서비스 추진 등 다양한 노력을 기울였다.
이완섭 서산시장은 “이번 수상은 행정 혁신을 거듭하고 창의적인 시책 발굴을 위한 노력과 성과가 빛을 발한 것”이라며 “앞으로도 시민의 편의를 향상할 다양한 혁신 시책을 강구하고 추진해 미래를 선도하는 지자체로 발전해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 서산시는 지속적인 드론 물류 배송 서비스를 제공하기 위해 공모 선정과 시책 마련에 행정력을 집중할 계획이다.
