[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 11일 월아산 숲속의 진주 일원에서 진주소방서와 함께 산불재난 대응 태세 강화와 실전 대처 능력 향상을 위한 산불진화 합동훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
월아산은 지난 1995년 4월 대형 산불로 인해 산림이 소실되었으나, 오랜 기간 진주시와 지역 주민들의 노력으로 울창한 산림으로 복구됐다.
이번 훈련은 산불 발생 시 초기 대응력을 강화하고, 산불로 인한 피해를 최소화하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 훈련에는 진주시 산림정원과 직원, 산불전문예방진화대, 진주소방서 화재 진압대원 등 100여명이 참여해 산불 발생 시 확산 방지와 이용객 안전을 위한 실전 같은 훈련을 진행했다.
훈련은 월아산 목재문화체험장 주변 산림을 가상으로 설정해 자체 진화조 투입, 각 시설별 이용객 대피 등 인명 피해를 최소화하기 위한 신속한 초동 조치 모의훈련으로 진행했다.
