[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 제1차 김해시 탄소중립 녹색성장 기본계획(2025~2034년)에 대한 공청회를 17일 개최했다.
이날 공청회는 시민, 전문가 등 100여명이 참석한 가운데 다양한 의견을 나누었다.
기본계획(안) 발표는 김해시탄소중립지원센터 강지윤 센터장이 맡아 김해시의 온실가스 배출량 전망과 중장기 감축 목표 그리고 부문별 감축대책을 제시했다.
특히 지자체 관리 권한이 있는 건물, 수송, 농축산, 폐기물, 흡수원 부문에서 2018년 대비 2030년까지 온실가스 39.5%(95만3,000t) 감축 목표를 제시했으며 이를 위한 15개 핵심과제, 71개 세부사업을 마련했다.
이어진 토론에서는 경남연구원 박진호 기후환경정책팀장이 좌장을 맡고 정필승 인제대학교 전기·배터리공학과 교수, 유승규 인제대학교 스마트물류학과 교수, 배현주 김해시의원, 강지윤 김해시탄소중립지원센터장이 참여해 기본계획(안)의 부문별 온실가스 감축대책에 대해 의견을 교환했다.
정필승 교수는 신재생에너지 보급 확대와 관련해 노후된 전력공급망 개선과 분산형 전원 도입 필요, 유승규 교수는 친환경 교통수단 보급과 관련해 중장기적으로는 도보로 모든 시설을 이용 가능하도록 도시계획 수립과 인프라 개선 필요, 배현주 시의원은 즉각적인 인센티브 지급으로 더욱 적극적인 시민 실천 유도를 위한 별도의 포인트제 마련과 기후대응기금 조성이 필요하다는 의견을 제시했다.
또 시민들은 재활용품 분리배출, 대중교통 이용 확대, 탄소중립 시민인식 개선 교육 확대 분야 등에서 다양한 의견을 내놨다.
이병관 환경국장은 “이제 모든 정책에 탄소중립을 고려해야 하고 그 정책이 실효를 거두기 위해서는 시민들의 관심과 실천이 매우 중요하다”며 “실효성 있는 탄소중립 녹색성장 기본계획 수립을 위해 각계각층의 다양한 의견을 수렴하겠다”고 말했다.
