울진군, 제18회 세계 암 예방의 날 기념식에서 우수기관에 선정

암 예방관리사업은 6대 암(위·간·대장·유방·자궁경부·폐암)의 조기 발견과 치료를 목표로 한 사업으로, 검진과 진료비 지원을 통해 암 예방에 기여하고 있다.

이번 기념식은 경상북도가 주관하여, 국가암검진 수검률과 우수 사례를 평가하고, 사업 실적이 우수한 시군에 표창을 수여하며, 사업 내용을 공유하기 위해 개최됐다.

울진군은 2024년 국가암 수검률이 38.7%로 전년 대비 0.5% 증가한 성과를 거두었으며, 이를 위해 광고매체 활용, 유관기관과의 사업 연계, 암검진 완료자 기념품 지급, 검진 대상자 사후 관리 등 맞춤형 홍보를 통해 수검률 향상에 기여한 점이 인정받았다.
