브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 전 대통령 탄핵 이후 조기 대선 기간이 60일 이내로 짧은 만큼, 정치권은 이번주부터 본격 대선 체제에 들어간다.
먼저 국민의힘은 탄핵 사과 및 숙려 기간을 짧게 마무리하고 7일 대통령후보 선출을 위한 선거관리위원회를 출범할 방침이다.
당은 일단 권영세·권성동 현 지도부를 재신임하고 대선 관리를 맡겼다. 탄핵에 대한 책임을 지도부가 함께 짊어져야 한다는 비판도 있었으나, 60일 내 대선을 치러야 하는데 당 지도부까지 교체하고 대선을 치르기엔 물리적인 시간이 부족하다는 공감대를 이룬 것으로 전해졌다.
서지영 원내대변인은 지난 6일 국회에서 열린 의원총회 직후 기자들과 만나 "일부에서 그런(지도부 사퇴) 의견을 낸 분이 있지만 의원들 전체 의견이 수렴되고 현재 지도부에서 앞으로 남은 대선 일정까지 최선을 다해서 수행해달라는 의미에서 다시 재신임을 박수로 추인했다"고 전했다.
