브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당은 12일 조국혁신당이 조기 대선에 후보를 내지 않기로 한 데 대해 "대승적 결정을 환영하며, 더욱 무거운 책임감으로 내란 종식과 정권 교체에 앞장서겠다"고 밝혔다.
조승래 민주당 수석대변인은 이날 서면 브리핑에서 "내란 종식과 정권 교체를 위해 이번 대선에 독자 후보를 내지 않고, 야권 유력 후보를 총력 지원하기로 한 조국혁신당의 대승적 결정을 존중하고 환영한다"고 말했다.
그는 "검찰 독재 정권을 부수는 쇄빙선이 되겠다는 조국혁신당의 의지를 그대로 보여주는 결정이 아닐 수 없다"라며 "이번 선거는 내란으로 상처 입은 대한민국이 민주주의를 지켜낼 수 있는지, 회복과 성장의 길로 나아갈 수 있을지를 판가름하는 절체 절명의 선거다. 국민의 뜻을 하나로 모아 반드시 정권 교체를 이뤄내야 한다"고 강조했다.
