이번 시농제가 열린 중랑행복1농장은 1,193명이 신청해 9:1의 경쟁률을 기록했으며, 이 가운데 선정된 130명의 신규 도시농부들이 참여했다. 특히 21개 어린이집도 함께 텃밭을 분양받아, 많은 어린이들이 자연을 체험할 수 있게 되었다. 참가자들은 텃밭 관리 교육을 통해 농장 운영 방법과 작물 재배 요령 등을 익히는 시간을 가졌다.
