(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) ㈔세계여성평화그룹(IWPG) 몽골 울란바토르 지부(지부장 엥흐타이완)가 지난 13일, 울란바토르시 울란바토르 호텔에서 ‘여성 연대를 통한 평화 실현’을 주제로 ‘2025 IWPG 몽골 여성평화회의’를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
세계여성평화그룹에 따르면, 이번 행사에는 몽골 정부 관계자, IWPG 평화위원장, MOA/MOU 체결 단체장, 여성평화교육 수료생 및 IWPG 회원 등 약 350명이 참석해 몽골 내 평화 정착과 여성 연대 강화를 위한 뜻깊은 자리를 함께했다.
몽골 울란바토르 지부는 현재까지 약 1200명의 여성을 대상으로 여성평화교육을 실시했으며 몽골 전국 21개 아이막 중 18개 지역에 평화위원회를 구성하는 성과를 이뤘다.
이번 회의를 통해 4개 지역에 추가로 평화위원장이 임명됨에 따라 평화 문화가 전국으로 확산되고 있다.
IWPG는 평화교육을 통해 몽골 사회의 평화 인식을 증진시키고, 문화교류 및 여성평화강사 양성, 지속 가능한 평화 활동을 통해 지역사회 네트워크를 강화해 왔다.
이번 행사는 이러한 노력의 결실로, 남은 4개 지역에도 평화문화를 전파하고 몽골 전역과 전 세계에 전쟁 종식과 평화의 메시지를 전하기 위한 취지에서 마련됐다.
IWPG 글로벌 9국을 총괄하는 임미숙 글로벌국장은 “앞으로도 몽골 울란바토르 지부가 더욱 성장하고 실질적인 성과를 이룰 수 있도록 평화 프로그램의 지속적인 개발과 실행에 적극 협력하겠다”고 격려했다.
이어 글로벌 9국은 홉스골 아이막 톰로불락 솜 일반교육학교 사회과 교사 등 6명에게 평화위원장 임명장을 수여하고 여성평화강사 1명을 신규 임명했다.
또, 델게르 에르데네 공동주택 소유자 협회를 포함한 7개 단체와 MOA 5건, MOU 3건을 체결하며 평화 협력 기반을 공고히 했다.
아울러, 평화교육 문화 정착에 기여한 부데 부지드마와 르학바수렌 냠체첵에게 공로패를 수여하며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
행사 전후에는 참석자들과의 개별 간담회를 통해 평화 협력 방안에 대한 실질적인 논의도 이뤄졌다.
한편, IWPG는 유엔 경제사회이사회(ECOSOC)와 글로벌소통국(DGC)에 등록된 국제 여성 NGO로, 현재 전 세계 122개국에 115개 지부와 회원이 있으며, 68개국 808개 협력단체와 함께 활동하고 있다.

또한, ㈔세계여성평화그룹(IWPG) 글로벌 9국(글로벌국장 임미숙)이 지난 17일, 대한민국 지부연합(인천지역)으로 주관한 ‘제7회 평화사랑 그림그리기 국제대회’가 성황리에 개최됐다고 밝혔다.
세계여성평화그룹에 따르면, 대회에는 인천시 초중고 학생이 참가해 평화에 대한 자신만의 생각을 화폭에 담았다.
학생들은 미얀마 내전, 아프가니스탄 분쟁, 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁과 같은 현재 진행 중인 분쟁 상황을 통해 평화의 중요성을 되새기며 평화그림 그리기에 임했다.
이번 대회는 단순한 그림 대회를 넘어 차세대에게 평화 문화를 전파하고, 어린이와 청소년들에게 전쟁의 아픈 역사를 일깨우며 세계 평화에 대한 소망을 심어주는 교육적 목적도 담고 있다.
학부모와 자녀가 함께 참여함으로써 가정에서부터 평화의 가치를 공유하고 소통하는 계기를 제공한다.
임미숙 글로벌 9국장은 개회사에서 “이번 대회는 후대의 주역이자 평화를 선도할 우리 어린이와 청소년에게 세계 평화의 소망을 심어주기 위해 마련됐다”며 “여러분이 그림을 통해 평화의 메시지를 전달해 전 지구촌에 평화가 깃드는 날이 속히 오기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
심사는 대회 직후 한길안과병원 한길홀에서 3명의 심사위원에 의해 진행됐다.
강형덕 심사위원장(㈔한국미술협회 인천광역시회장)은 “학생들의 그림 솜씨가 세심한 표현을 통해 평화에 대한 마음을 알 수 있었고 큰 감동을 받았다”고 평했다
시상식은 오는 6월 14일 서구청에서 열릴 예정이다.
또, 향후 전시회를 운영해 인천시 학생들과 학부모, 시민들이 작품을 감상할 수 있는 기회도 제공할 계획이다.

The International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG) Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Branch (Branch Director Engh Taiwan) announced that it successfully held the ‘2025 IWPG Mongolia Women’s Peace Conference’ with the theme of ‘Realizing Peace through Women’s Solidarity’ at the Ulaanbaatar Hotel in Ulaanbaatar on the 13th.
