[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산광역시가 매년 5월 20일 '세계인의 날'을 기념하여 다문화 사회에 대한 이해를 높이고 세계 시민들의 공존을 모색하는 '제20회 부산세계시민축제'를 개최한다.
오는 24일(금) 오전 11시부터 오후 6시까지 해운대 영화의전당 일원에서 펼쳐지는 이번 축제는 국경과 문화를 넘어선 화합의 장으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
부산시와 법무부가 공동 주최하고, (재)부산글로벌도시재단, 부산출입국·외국인청, (재)영화의전당이 공동 주관하는 이번 축제에는 총 30개국 90개 단체, 약 1만 5천여 명의 세계 시민들이 참여할 예정이다.
주한 외국공관 및 문화원, 부산 지역 외국인 커뮤니티와 국제교류 관련 기관들이 대거 참여하여 각국의 고유한 문화(음식, 공예품, 의상, 액세서리 등)와 흥미로운 공연을 선보이며 소통과 교류를 통한 상호 이해를 증진할 예정이다.
특히 올해는 부산세계시민축제가 시작된 지 20주년이 되는 해이자, 한일 국교 정상화 60주년을 기념하는 해로서 더욱 풍성한 프로그램이 마련되었다.

한국과 일본의 차세대 트로트 스타인 정서주(미스트롯3 우승자)와 아즈마 아키(한일가왕전 출연자)의 특별 기념 듀엣 공연이 펼쳐진다. 또한, 중국, 일본, 베트남, 몽골, 카메룬 등 다양한 국가 공연단의 다채로운 퍼포먼스가 축제의 열기를 더할 예정이다.
