(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 28일, 시 홍보 마스코트 ‘부천핸썹’을 활용한 자율형 건물번호판 5종 18개를 제작해 관내 체육시설과 대형 공동주택 등에 설치했다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 자율형 건물번호판은 일반적으로 사용되는 표준형 건물번호판과 달리, 건물의 용도와 주변 환경에 맞춰 자유롭게 디자인할 수 있는 건물번호판이다.
이번 사업은 부천종합운동장, 부천체육관 등 체육시설과 대형 아파트 단지에 자율형 건물번호판을 설치한 것으로, 해당 건물의 특성을 반영하고 ‘부천핸썹’ 캐릭터를 활용해 시각적 인지도를 높였다.
또한, 생활밀착형 주소정보 제공과 현장 기반 인프라 확대로 주소 서비스 품질을 강화했다고 덧붙였다.
부천시 관계자는 “부천핸썹 캐릭터를 활용한 자율형 건물번호판은 부천시의 지역적 특색을 반영한 디자인으로, 도로명주소가 일상 속에 자연스럽게 정착하길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 시민이 공감할 수 있는 주소 정책을 통해 도로명주소 활용과 인식 제고에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 부천시는 지난 2022년 심곡동, 심곡본동, 원종동 등 시 특화거리 3곳 273개소에 자율형 건물번호판을 설치한 바 있다.
부천시는 앞으로도 경찰과 협력해 범죄 취약지역을 중심으로 가시성이 높은 자율형 건물번호판을 어두운 골목길 등에 설치할 계획이다.
