(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 주최하고 인천관광공사와 ㈜메쎄이상이 공동 주관하는 ‘2025 인천일러스트코리아’ 전시회가 오는 6일부터 8일까지 3일간 인천 송도컨벤시아에서 열린다.
이번 전시는 인천에서 처음으로 개최되는 대규모 일러스트레이션 및 캐릭터 전문 전시회로, 콘텐츠 산업의 창의성과 다양성을 한눈에 볼 수 있는 기회로 기대를 모으고 있다. 일러스트와 캐릭터를 중심으로 한 다양한 프로그램을 통해 관람객들에게 새로운 문화적 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
‘Deep-Digging-Delight(깊이 파고드는 즐거움)’을 주제로 한 이번 행사는 일러스트레이션의 문화적 가치와 창작의 즐거움을 시민들과 공유하고자 기획됐다.
사회관계망서비스(SNS)와 온라인에서 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 작가들을 포함해 총 180여 명의 인기 및 신진 작가들이 참여하며, 일러스트레이션, 캐릭터 디자인, 그래픽, 웹툰 등 다채로운 장르의 작품과 함께 디자인 문구, 창작 굿즈, 아트토이 등도 함께 선보인다.
참여 작가로는 감성적인 캐릭터 일러스트로 주목받는 ‘구냥이’, 섬세한 스티커 디자인의 ‘식식인더하우스’, 독창적인 그래픽 스타일의 ‘리벳’, 따뜻한 색감과 이야기를 담은 ‘딸비’ 등이 있으며, 이 외에도 개성 넘치는 다양한 인기 아티스트들과 유망 신예 작가들이 각자의 매력을 담은 작품을 선보일 예정이다.
이번 전시는 최근 엠제트(MZ)세대를 중심으로 확산되고 있는 ‘디깅(Digging)’ 문화와 연계해 관람객들이 자신의 취향에 맞는 일러스트와 굿즈를 찾는 새로운 즐거움을 경험할 수 있는 자리가 될 것으로 기대된다.
다채로운 부대행사도 준비됐다.
작가가 직접 디자인한 포토 프레임으로 나만의 네 컷 사진을 촬영하는 ‘네컷프레임 콘테스트’, 인천의 추억을 그림으로 표현하는 ‘Memory The Incheon’ 공모전, 인기 캐릭터 브랜드 ‘스위트몬스터’와 협업한 팝업스토어 등 다양한 참여형 이벤트가 준비되어 관람객들에게 색다른 재미를 더할 예정이다.
또한, 인천유나이티드 FC 홍보부스에서는 팬 굿즈와 기념품을 만나볼 수 있으며, 부평문화재단 등 지역 기관들도 참여해 인천 지역 아티스트들의 다채로운 콘텐츠를 소개하는 등 로컬 콘텐츠와의 연계도 강화된다.
김영신 시 국제협력국장은 “인천에서 처음 개최되는 일러스트레이션 및 캐릭터 전시회가 시민들과 작가들이 함께 즐길 수 있는 축제로 자리 잡길 바란다”며 “이번 전시회를 통해 인천의 콘텐츠 산업이 더욱 활력을 얻는 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
