충남 서천군이 여름철 폭염에 대비하고 산업재해를 예방하기 위해 발 빠르게 움직였다.
군은 지난 18일, 관내 현업업무 종사자 200여 명을 대상으로 ‘2025년 산업안전보건 정기교육 및 온열질환 예방 특별교육’을 진행했다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 작업 현장의 안전 인식을 높이고, 실질적인 재해 예방 효과를 기대할 수 있도록 구성됐다. 특히 한국산업안전원에서 활동 중인 전문 강사를 초청해 실제 발생했던 산업재해 사례를 중심으로 교육이 이뤄졌고, 위험요소에 대한 경각심을 일깨우는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
더불어 서천군은 충청남도청과의 협업을 통해 도청 소속 온열질환 전문 강사를 초빙, 기후위기에 따른 고온 현상과 빈번해진 폭염에 대응할 수 있도록 건강관리 요령과 예방 수칙도 함께 안내했다. 해당 교육은 정부의 온열질환 대응 지침이 한층 강화된 흐름에 발맞춰, 군 차원에서 선제적으로 대응한 행정 조치로 평가받고 있다.
