대전시가 유망 기술창업기업을 글로벌 유니콘으로 키우기 위한 ‘D-유니콘 프로젝트’의 네 번째 발걸음을 힘차게 내디뎠다.
시는 19일 D-유니콘라운지에서 제4기 프로젝트에 선정된 10개 기업에 공식 현판을 수여하고, 본격적인 성장 지원을 시작했다.
이날 행사는 이장우 대전시장을 비롯해 민간 투자사 대표와 산·학·연·관 관계자 등 약 60명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다. 유망 스타트업의 잠재력에 대한 공감과 격려가 이어졌으며, 지역 창업 생태계의 미래를 가늠하는 의미 있는 자리로 꾸며졌다.
‘D-유니콘 프로젝트’는 2022년부터 대전시가 주도해 온 기술 창업기업 집중 육성 프로그램이다. 지역 내 기술력과 시장성을 겸비한 기업을 발굴해 글로벌 진출을 이끄는 것이 핵심으로, 매년 10개 이내의 스타트업을 선정해 다양한 맞춤형 지원을 제공한다.
올해 선정된 제4기 D-유니콘 기업은 다음과 같다. ㈜에스엘엠, ㈜이너시아, ㈜제이제이엔에스, ㈜일리아스바이오로직스, ㈜에코인에너지, 에이치앤파워㈜, ㈜피코팩, ㈜파인에스엔에스, ㈜레드윗, ㈜모바휠 등 총 10개 사다.

이들 기업은 앞으로 '성장도약자금 지원', 'D-유니콘라운지 전용 공간 우선 사용', '해외 진출 및 투자 연계 프로그램 참여' 등의 혜택을 받는다. 대전시는 기업별 상황과 전략에 따라 전담 컨설팅을 배치하고, 유관 정책과도 유기적으로 연계해 지속 가능한 성장을 도모할 방침이다.
실제 D-유니콘 프로젝트는 지난 3년간 총 30개 스타트업을 발굴·지원해 왔으며, 이 가운데 ㈜인투셀 등 5개 사는 코스닥 시장에 성공적으로 상장됐다. 바이오, 에너지, ICT 등 다양한 분야에서 두각을 나타낸 사례로 평가받으며, 지역 창업 생태계의 선순환 모델로 자리잡고 있다.
이장우 대전시장은 “D-유니콘 프로젝트는 대전을 글로벌 스타트업 도시로 도약시키는 핵심 전략 중 하나”라며, “대전이 가진 과학기술 기반과 혁신역량을 바탕으로 잠재력 높은 기업을 유니콘급으로 성장시켜 나가는 성공모델을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
