충남 논산시(시장 백성현)가 청년 농업인의 스마트 농업 역량 강화를 위한 실전 중심 교육에 나선다. 시는 지난 5월 선발된 청년 수강생 4명을 대상으로 스마트팜 이론 교육을 마무리하고, 이달부터 관내 선도농가와 연계한 1:1 맞춤형 현장실습을 본격 추진한다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 실습 과정은 이론과 실무를 아우르는 ‘청년창업 스마트팜 교육’의 핵심 단계로, 선도농가 4곳과 연수생을 1대1로 매칭해 총 500시간의 장기 연수를 진행한다. 작목별로는 딸기와 엽채류에 집중하며, 정보통신기술(ICT)과 사물인터넷(IoT)을 접목한 스마트 재배 시스템 운영법을 실습을 통해 익히게 된다.
시는 앞서 선도농가와 연수생 간 사전 설명회를 열고, 멘토-멘티 협약을 체결하며 교육 준비에 만전을 기했다. 이번 현장 실습은 일일 4시간, 월 최대 80시간 범위 내에서 자가 영농 실습과 병행이 가능하며, 일정은 연수생의 상황에 따라 6~7개월간 유동적으로 운영된다.
교육생에게는 월 최대 100만 원의 교육훈련비가, 멘토 역할을 수행하는 선도농가에는 월 50만 원의 수당이 각각 지원된다.
시 관계자는 “이번 교육을 통해 청년농업인이 선도농가의 노하우를 현장에서 직접 배우며 안정적인 영농활동을 이어가는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
