[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 오는 25일 오전 9시 남구 유엔기념공원에서 '제75주년 6·25전쟁 참전 유엔전몰용사 추모제'가 열린다고 밝혔다.
추모제는 한반도의 평화와 자유 가치 수호를 위해 희생하신 유엔전몰용사의 영령을 위로하고 참전용사의 희생과 헌신을 기리며, 잊혀가는 6·25 전쟁의 참상과 애환을 회고하기 위해 지난 1998년부터 매년 유엔(UN)기념공원에서 열리고 있다. 행사는 시가 후원하고 한국자유총연맹 부산광역시지부가 주관한다.
이날 추모제에는 박형준 시장을 비롯해 주요 기관장과 시민, 각급 학교 학생 등 2천3백여 명이 참석한다. 추모제는 ▲국민의례 ▲기념사 ▲내빈 추도사 ▲헌화 ▲묵념 ▲6·25 노래 합창 ▲블랙이글스 추모비행 순으로 진행된다.
이번 추모제에는 공군 특수비행팀 ‘블랙이글스’의 추모비행이 펼쳐져, 하늘에서 전몰장병의 넋을 기리는 장면이 추모제의 마지막을 장식하며 추모제의 의미를 더한다. 추모제 전날인 내일(24일) 추모비행을 위한 사전훈련이 진행될 예정이다.
박형준 시장은 이날 추도사를 통해 “전쟁으로 폐허가 된 절망의 땅에서, 대한민국이 세계 10위권의 경제 대국을 이루게 된 것은 기적이며, 이러한 기적이 시작될 수 있었던 것은 그때의 유엔참전용사들께서 목숨 걸고 나라를 지켜주신 덕분이다”라며,“참전용사들의 숭고한 뜻을 받들어 이 땅을 자유와 평화의 가치가 보편적 가치로 뿌리내리는 나라로 만드는 것은 우리 모두에게 주어진 몫으로, 유엔기념묘역에 잠드신 모든 전몰용사분의 영원한 안식을 부산시민과 함께 간절히 기원한다”라고 전할 예정이다.
