과천시 정보과학도서관, ‘거리로 나온 도서관’ 행사 개최

과천시 정보과학도서관이 지난 6월 21일 오후 중앙공원에서 야외 도서관 행사 ‘거리로 나온 도서관’을 개최했다.

이번 행사는 ‘여름밤 심리책방’을 주제로 전 세대를 아우르는 총 21개 프로그램을 진행해 시민들에게 색다른 독서 체험을 제공했다.

행사장에는 자연 속에서 책을 읽을 수 있는 독서캠핑존 운영, 영화 ‘인사이드 아웃’ 상영, 샌드아트 공연, 재즈 연주 등의 다채로운 공연이 진행됐다. 이밖에도 독서토론, 도서교환전, 그림책 원화 전시, 지역 독서단체가 참여하는 체험 공간 등이 마련됐다.

신계용 과천시장은 “책을 매개로 세대 간 공감과 정서적 연결을 이끌어내기 위해 이번 행사를 기획했다”며, “가족, 친구, 연인 모두가 함께 참여해 주시길 바라며, 앞으로도 시민들이 일상 속에서 독서를 즐길 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

Gwacheon City Information Science Library held an outdoor library event, ‘Library on the Street’, at Central Park on the afternoon of June 21.

This event provided citizens with a unique reading experience by operating a total of 21 programs for all generations with the theme of ‘Summer Night Psychology Bookstore.’

The event venue featured a reading camping zone where people could read books in nature, a screening of the movie ‘Inside Out,’ a sand art performance, and a jazz performance. In addition, there were reading discussions, a book exchange, an exhibition of original picture books, and an experience space where local reading groups could participate.

Gwacheon Mayor Shin Gye-yong said, “We planned this event to bring about empathy and emotional connection between generations through books,” and added, “I hope that families, friends, and lovers will all participate, and we will continue to work to ensure that citizens can enjoy reading in their daily lives.”
