(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 8월 18일까지 지역사회 발전과 시의 명예를 높이는 데 헌신적으로 기여한 시민을 발굴하기 위해‘제47회 인천광역시 시민상’후보자를 공개 모집한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면,‘인천광역시 시민상’은 1979년부터 시작돼 올해로 47회째를 맞이한 역사와 전통을 자랑하는 인천시 최고 권위의 상으로, 각계각층에서 묵묵히 소임을 다하며 지역사회 발전에 이바지한 공로자를 찾아 그 숭고한 정신을 널리 알리는 데 목적이 있다.
올해 시민상은 사회공익상, 효행상, 산업발전상, 교육발전상 등 총 4개 부문, 13개 분야에서 15명 이내의 수상자를 선정할 계획이다.
후보자는 2025년 10월 15일 기준으로 인천시 관내에 5년 이상 계속 거주한 시민 중 해당 분야에서 뛰어난 공적이 있는 사람이어야 하며, 추천권자의 추천을 통해 접수할 수 있다.
추천권자는 군수·구청장, 인천시 실·국·본부장 및 산하 기관장, 관내 각급 기관·단체장 등이며, 추천 시에는 추천서, 공적조서, 이력서, 공적 증명서류 등을 갖추어 8월 18일까지 인천시청 총무과에 방문하거나 우편으로 제출하면 된다.
인천시는 접수된 후보자에 대해 각계 전문가로 구성된 심의위원회의 심의를 거쳐 공정하고 투명한 절차로 최종 수상자를 결정할 예정이다.
시상식은 오는 10월에 개최되는 제61회 시민의 날 기념식에서 진행된다.
인천시는 지난해까지 총 398명의 수상자를 배출했으며, 수상자들의 공적을 시 누리집에 게재하는 등 지속적인 예우를 통해 수상자들의 명예를 드높이고 있다.
