[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시와 부산·경남 행정통합 공론화위원회(공동위원장 전호환·권순기)는 지난 1일 오후 2시, 아스티호텔 부산 그랜드볼룸에서 '부산·경남 행정통합 시도민 토론회(원도심권)'를 개최했다고 2일 밝혔다.
이번 토론회는 부산·경남 행정통합 공론화 추진의 일환으로 마련된 첫 공식 행사로, 행정통합에 대한 시민 공감대 형성과 다양한 의견 청취를 위해 기획됐다.
토론회는 박재율 공론화위원회 대변인의 ‘부산·경남 행정통합 추진과정과 방향’ 주제발표로 시작됐다. 발표에서는 그동안의 행정통합 추진 경과, 현재까지의 논의 상황, 향후 계획, 기본구상 초안 등에 대한 설명이 이어졌다. 또한 행정통합을 통해 기대할 수 있는 효과와 미래 지향점도 소개됐다.
지정토론은 전호환 위원회 공동위원장이 좌장을 맡아 진행됐으며, 토론자로는 이준호 부산시의원, 오문범 부산 YMCA 사무총장, 윤은기 동아대학교 교수, 하혜수 경북대학교 교수가 참여했다. 이들은 행정통합의 필요성과 기본구상에 대한 검토, 통합 추진 과정에서 고려해야 할 보완사항 등에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

부산시와 공론화위원회는 향후 개최될 토론회를 통해 시민사회, 학계, 전문가, 지방의회 등 다양한 분야의 의견을 수렴하고 행정통합의 방향성과 추진 기반을 마련할 방침이다.
