2003년부터 임시역사로 운영돼온 천안역이 마침내 새로운 모습으로 탈바꿈한다. 22년간 이어진 시민들의 기다림이 오는 7월 22일, 첫 삽을 뜨는 착공식으로 결실을 맺는다.
