극단적 기상이변으로 기록적인 폭우가 쏟아진 충남 홍성군이 수해 복구에 총력을 기울이고 있다.
16일부터 17일까지 이틀간 금마면에 454mm, 군 평균 368.9mm의 강수량이 기록되면서 하천 제방이 붕괴되고 농경지와 주택이 침수되는 등 지역 곳곳에서 피해가 속출했다.
19일 오전, 홍성군 갈산면 동산리 와룡천 붕괴 현장을 찾은 이용록 군수는 “극한 폭우로 토사가 할퀴고 간 피해 현장은 1분 1초가 급하다”며 “주민 생명과 안전을 위해 주말도 반납하고 현장에 투입된 공직자 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”고 전했다.
