[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 전 세계 기상·해양·빙권 분야 석학과 전문가 1,500여 명이 참여하는 ‘2025 IUGG 기상·해양·빙권 국제학술대회(BACO-25)’가 20일부터 25일까지 부산 벡스코에서 열린다.
이 대회는 ‘서로 연결된 지구(Our Interconnected Earth)’를 주제로 기후위기와 환경문제에 대한 과학적 해법을 모색하고, 해양·대기·극지 과학의 최첨단 연구성과를 공유하는 세계 최고 수준의 학술 행사다.

24일에는 벡스코에서 청소년 대상 과학 교육 프로그램 ‘어스 사이언스 데이(Earth Science Day)’가 열린다. ‘오~징한 게임: 지구 필살기’를 주제로, 서울대·국립부경대·극지연구소 과학자들이 강연과 멘토링을 진행하며 학생들의 진로와 학문에 대한 이해를 돕는다.
