대전학생해양수련원이 여름방학을 맞아 해양 체험 기회가 부족한 보육시설 아동들을 위해 ‘소망海 가족 캠프 2기’를 오는 24일부터 25일까지 운영한다고 23일 밝혔다.
이번 캠프는 2025년 교육복지 사업의 일환으로, 대전지역 보육시설인 늘사랑아동센터와 성심원 소속 아동과 지도교사 등 총 38명을 대상으로 진행된다.
‘소망海 가족 캠프’는 지난 2022년부터 추진돼 온 교육복지 프로그램으로, 해양 레포츠 접근성이 낮은 취약계층 아동들에게 바다와 친숙해지는 기회를 제공해왔다. 올해는 그동안의 호응을 반영해 동계와 하계 두 차례로 확대해 운영되며, 해양안전교육을 비롯한 다양한 체험 활동이 포함된다.
이번 여름 캠프는 참가 아동들의 자존감을 높이고 공동체 의식을 키우는 데 중점을 둔 체험 중심 프로그램으로 구성됐다. 구체적으로는 수상 안전교육, 생존수영, 바나나보트와 같은 해양 레포츠, 해변 일몰 감상, 그리고 실내 활동으로는 슈링클스 만들기와 카프라 쌓기 등 창의성과 협동심을 동시에 자극하는 프로그램들이 준비되어 있다.
