【브레이크뉴스 】박영재 기자=대구시 달성군 논공읍의 한 식품 가공 공장에서 발생한 일산화탄소에 의한 직원 등이 두통을 호소한 사고는 환풍기 고장 탓인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 당초 주민들에게 안내된 것과 달리 가스 유출은 없었던 것으로 최종 확인됐다.
달성군과 소방당국 등에 따르면 23일 오전 11시 47분경 달성군 논공읍 삼리리의 한 식품 가공 공장에서 가스 유출로 추측되는 사고가 발생했다.
이 사고로 공장 직원 등 8명이 현기증 등으로 인근 병원에 옮겨져 치료를 받았다.
지자체와 소방당국 인력 등 50여명은 현장에 출동해 현장 조치 및 사고 원인 조사에 나섰다. 그 결과 사고 당시 식품 공장 오븐 기기 가동 중 환기시설 고장이 발생했으며, 이로 인해 배출되지 못한 공기가 실내에 체류해 일산화탄소 농도가 증가한 것으로 확인됐다.
달성군은 사고 파악 과정에서 혹시 모를 위험에 대비해 오후 12시 20분경 주민들에게 ‘가스 유출이 발생했으니 창문을 닫고 안내가 있을 때까지 실내에서 대기하라’는 내용의 안전 안내 문자를 발송했으나 가스안전공사의 조사를 통해 가스 유출 사고가 없었음을 확인한 후 오후 2시 26분경 상황 종료를 알리는 안내 문자를 발송했다.

After confirming through an investigation by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation that there was no gas leak, they sent a text message at around 2:26 PM to inform them that the situation had ended.
