【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 여름방학을 맞아 초등학생을 위한 ‘여름방학 세계문화체험학습’을 운영한다.
학생들이 세계 문화를 직접 체험하며 세계시민으로서의 소양과 다문화 감수성을 키울 수 있도록 기획된 행사는 25일, 26일, 28일 3일간 대구세계시민교육센터에서 열린다.
프로그램은 지역 내 이주배경학생의 분포와 학생들의 흥미를 고려해 다양한 국가의 의상, 놀이, 음식, 공예, 음악 등을 중심으로 구성됐다.
주요 프로그램으로는 베트남의 전통의상 아오자이 입어보기, 필리핀의 전통 놀이인 티니클링과 밤부피트 체험, 아메리칸 쿠키 만들기, 러시아 마트료시카 공예, 남태평양 지역의 소라 피리 만들기, 세계시민체험 ZONE 자율 체험 등이 있다.
체험을 통해 학생들은 문화의 다양성을 이해하고, 세계와의 공감 능력을 자연스럽게 익힐 수 있다.
강은희 교육감은 “이번 체험학습이 학생들에게 다양한 문화를 존중하고 세계시민으로서의 감수성과 역량을 기르는 소중한 기회가 되길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kang Eun-hee) is operating the ‘Summer Vacation World Culture Experience Learning’ for elementary school students during the summer vacation.
The event, which was planned to allow students to experience world culture firsthand and develop their global citizenship and multicultural sensitivity, will be held at the Daegu World Citizen Education Center for three days on the 25th, 26th, and 28th.
The program was organized around costumes, games, food, crafts, and music from various countries, taking into account the distribution of students with immigrant backgrounds in the region and the interests of the students.
Main programs include trying on the traditional Vietnamese costume, Ao Dai, experiencing the traditional Filipino games, Tinikling and Bamboo Pit, making American cookies, Russian Matryoshka crafts, making conch flutes from the South Pacific region, and autonomous experience in the World Citizen Experience Zone.
Through the experience, students can understand cultural diversity and naturally acquire the ability to empathize with the world.
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee said, “I hope this experiential learning experience will be a valuable opportunity for students to respect diverse cultures and develop sensitivity and capabilities as global citizens.”
