포항시, 공공보건의료 협력체계 구축 우수 지자체 선정… 도지사 표창 수상

【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시는 지난 26일 구미 금오산호텔에서 열린 ‘2025년 경상북도 책임의료기관 성과공유대회’에서 공공보건의료 협력체계 구축 유공으로 도지사 표창을 수상했다고 29일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 경상북도가 주최하고, 행정부지사와 책임의료기관 병원장, 유관 기관 관계자 등 150여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다. 포항시는 지자체 가운데 복지 부서가 주도적으로 의료 협력체계를 구축한 점을 높이 평가받아 수상의 영예를 안았다.

포항시는 퇴원 환자의 지역사회 연계 지원을 선도적으로 운영해 왔으며, 특히 기존의 의료부서 중심 운영 방식에서 벗어나 복지 부서가 중심이 되어 협력 모델을 구축한 것이 주목받았다. 이는 의료와 돌봄의 유기적 연계를 통해 지역사회 통합 돌봄 체계를 성공적으로 구현한 사례로, 타 지자체의 모범이 되고 있다는 평가다.

이번 수상은 복지 부서로서는 도내 유일한 사례로, 의료기관 중심의 공공보건 체계에 복지 행정이 주체적으로 참여해 통합적인 건강 돌봄 서비스를 실현한 점에서 높은 의의를 갖는다.
