[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산광역시교육청은 최근 학생이 숨지는 등 논란이 많았던 정선학원 임시이사 중 결원 상태였던 4명을 새로 선임했다.
학교법인 정선학원의 조속한 정상화를 위해 이번에 선임된 임시이사는 이전 임시이사 중 4명이 사임함에 따른 후속 인사로 지난 6월 사학분쟁조정위원회에서 선임이 한차례 보류된 바 있다.
당시 사학분쟁조정위윈회는 교직원 등 구성원, 동창회, 학부모단체 등의 의견을 폭넓게 수렴하여 임시이사 후보자 4인을 추가 추천하도록 부산시교육청에 요청했다.
이에 따라 김석준 교육감은 사학분쟁조정위원회 결정에 따라 정선학원 소속 학교의 학내 구성원 의견을 적극 수렴하여 7월 최종 임시이사 선임안을 제출했다.
시교육청은 "새로 선임된 임시이사 4명은 교육 및 행정 분야에서 풍부한 경험과 전문성을 바탕으로 정선학원 내 갈등을 해결하고 학교법인의 정상화에 기여할 수 있는 역량을 갖춘 인사로 평가받고 있다"고 밝혔다.
시교육청은 이와 더불어 오는 9월 임기가 만료되는 임시이사 1명과 최근 추가 사임으로 공석이 된 임시이사 2명에 대해서도 8월 중 사학분쟁조정위원회에 선임을 요청할 계획이다.
김석준 교육감은 “정선학원과 해당 학교들의 안정을 위해 신속하게 임시이사 선임을 추진했다”며, “이번 임시이사 선임은 현재 혼란스러운 재단 상황을 빠르게 수습하고, 학교 운영의 안정화를 앞당기는 데 최선을 다할 것으로 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.
