기획재정위원회 소속이자 조국혁신당 최고위원인 차규근 의원은 지난 27일 경남 합천군 가회면 일대에서 토사 제거와 침수 가구 정리, 쓰레기 수거 등 수해복구 활동을 펼쳤다.
대구시당위원장이자 국회 산불특별위원회 위원으로 활동 중인 차 의원이 주도한 이번 봉사활동에는 양 지역 당원들이 대거 참여했다.
차 의원은 현장에서 "마을 곳곳이 집중호우와 산사태로 극심한 피해를 입었다"며 "폭염 속에서 고통받는 주민들을 위해 더 많은 분들이 복구 작업에 동참해 주길 바란다"고 당부했다.
오는 2일과 3일에도 조국혁신당 당원들과 함께 경남 산청군과 합천군의 추가 복구 작업에 나설 예정이다. 특히 산청읍 산사태 피해 지역을 직접 방문해 현장 상황을 점검할 계획이다.
차 의원은 "국회 산불특별위원회 위원으로서 단순한 피해 복구를 넘어 산사태의 근본 원인을 면밀히 점검하겠다"며 "재해 예방을 위한 제도 개선에도 적극 나서겠다"고 강조했다.
