'광복 80주년 기념 및 마산방어전투승전 기념음악회' 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 마산합포·회원구 재향군인회(회장 엄대치)가 오는 15일 오후 7시30분 3·15 해양누리공원 야외공연장에서 광복 80주년 기념 및 마산방어전투 승전 기념음악회를 개최한다.

광복 80주년을 기념하기 위해 개최되는 이번 행사는 마산합포·회원구 재향군인회가 주최·주관하고, 창원특례시와 BNK경남은행이 후원하며, 군악대 출신인 진헌근 마산재향군인회 청년단장이 무대연출과 총괄집행위원장을 맡아 해군교육사령부·해군진해기지사령부 군악대의 타악기 퍼포먼스, 밴드공연과 경남째즈오케스트라 협연공연, 국악가수 황인아, 대중가수 이정욱, 게임가수1호 엄지영을 초청, MC 박재홍의 재치있는 사회로 멋진 공연이 펼쳐질 예정이다.

엄대치 회장은 "많은 분들의 관심과 격려속에 지난해 이어 2회째 진행되는 이번 행사를 통해 광복을 위해 희생을 아끼지 않았던 선열들의 헌신에 깊은 감사와 존경의 예를 표하며, 특히 마산방어전투에서 우리 군이 얼마나 용감하고 결연한 의지로 조국을 지켰는지를 반드시 기억해야 할 것"이라고 말했다. 

최형두 국회의원은 "순국선열들의 피값으로 세워진 평화를 추모하는 행사에 올해도 많은 시민들이 함께 해주시길 바란다"며 "올해는 특히 광복 80주년이라는 의미있는 해로 마산방어전 전투에서 전사하신 선열들을 잊지 않겠다"고 말했다.

마산방어전투는 한미 동맹군과 인민군이 벌인 전투로 임시수도 부산으로 진격하려는 북한군을 차단하고 인천상륙작전을 감행할 수 있었다.
