한국조폐공사(사장 성창훈)가 ‘광복 80년’을 기념하는 특별 은화를 발행하며 오는 11일부터 9월 2일까지 예약 접수를 진행한다고 8일 밝혔다.
이번 기념주화는 광복 80년의 역사적 의의를 기리는 동시에, 국민들의 애국심을 고취하고 세대 간 화합과 미래지향적 메시지를 전달하기 위한 목적으로 제작됐다. 액면금액은 7만 원이며, 순도 99.9%의 순은(Ag)으로 만든 지름 35mm, 중량 19g의 컬러 은화 두 종류로 구성된다.
조폐공사에 따르면 단품 은화Ⅰ과 은화Ⅱ는 각각 1,000장, 두 종류를 함께 구성한 세트는 총 6,000세트 한정 제작된다. 단품 판매가는 개당 8만 5,000원, 2종 세트는 17만 2,200원으로 책정됐다.
디자인 면에서도 이번 기념주화는 깊은 상징성을 담고 있다. 은화Ⅰ 앞면에는 태극기를 배경으로, 독립운동가에서부터 미래세대까지 이어지는 인물들의 행진 장면이 배치돼 세대 간 연결과 통합을 형상화했다. 은화Ⅱ는 '광복 80년 기념사업'의 슬로건을 바탕으로 빛줄기, 발자국, 물결무늬 등 다양한 요소를 조화롭게 구성해 광복의 여정과 미래를 향한 희망을 시각적으로 표현했다. 두 은화의 뒷면에는 광복 80년 기념사업의 공식 엠블럼이 새겨져 있다.

주화는 조폐공사 온라인 쇼핑몰(www.koreamint.com)을 비롯해 NH농협은행, 우리은행의 전국 지점 창구 및 각 은행 홈페이지에서 예약 신청할 수 있다. 이번 판매는 선착순이 아닌 ‘추첨 예약제’로 운영되며, 신청 수량이 발행 수량을 초과할 경우 무작위 전산 추첨을 통해 당첨자를 선정한다.
다만, 동일한 수령인이나 수령지 정보로 중복 접수할 경우 단품별 최대 20장, 2종 세트는 최대 20세트까지만 추첨 대상에 포함된다. 또한 매크로 등 비정상적인 방법으로 신청이 접수되었을 경우 당첨이 무효 처리되거나 배송이 제한될 수 있다.
