[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군에서 계획된 각종 축제행사가 취소결정됐다.
군은 지난 7월 집중호우로 특별재난지역으로 선포됨에 따라 제41회 대야문화제, 제44회 군민체육대회, 제21회 합천예술제 행사를 취소하기로 결정했다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 폭우로 주택 침수, 농경지 유실, 기반시설 파손 등 막대한 재산 피해와 주민 피해가 발생함에 따라 군은 전 행정력을 동원해 피해 복구와 이재민 지원에 최선을 다하고 있다.
심재상 대야문화제전위원장은 “이런 어려운 시기에 대야문화제를 개최하는 것은 군민이 화합해 하나 됨을 뜻하는 대야문화제의 의미를 퇴색시키는 것”이라며, 11일 대야문화제 집행위원회를 긴급 개최해 행사 취소를 의결했다. 이어 “군민들이 어려운 상황을 슬기롭게 이겨 내고 하루빨리 온전한 일상을 되찾길 바란다”고 말했다.
