인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 계획은 ‘학교다움을 채우는 인천 학교현장지원 방안 100선’ 중‘학교폭력 피해학생 전담지원관 역할 확대를 통한 피해학생 맞춤형 지원’을 위해 마련됐다.
전담지원관은 교원, 갈등조정 전문가, 임상심리상담사, 청소년상담사 등 28명으로 구성되며, 학업성적 관리, 피해학생 지원 절차, 유관기관 연계, 사안처리 절차 등 역량을 강화해 지난해보다 확대된 역할을 수행한다.
기존에는 피해 학생을 유관기관에 연결하고 상황을 모니터링하는 역할이 중심이었으나, 올해부터는 일상생활·학교생활 지원, 사안처리 과정 안내, 교육청 지원사업 및 외부기관 연계까지 포함한 통합 지원 체계를 운영해 실질적인 회복을 돕는다.
도성훈 교육감은 “전담지원관 역할 확대는 피해학생의 회복과 건강한 성장을 위한 기반”이라며 “지원의 전문성과 체계성을 높여 신뢰받는 학교 환경을 만들겠다”고 말했다.
