[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산여성100인행동은 13일 광복절 특별사면 대상에 '윤미향 전 정의기억연대 이사장이 포함된 데 대해 “위안부 피해자 후원금을 유용한 파렴치한 범죄자에게 면죄부를 주는 일”이라며 강력히 규탄했다.
부산여성100인행동은 이날 오전 10시 20분 부산시의회 브리핑룸에서 기자회견을 열고, “광복절 '조국'·'윤미향' 비리 정치인 특별사면을 규탄한다”라고 비판했다.
이들은 “광복절 80주년에 자녀 입시비리로 구속된 조국혁신당 조국 전 대표 부부와, 위안부 피해 할머니 후원금 횡령 혐의로 구속된 윤미향 전 정의기억연대 이사장 등을 특별사면한다니 이게 웬말인가”라며, “우리 사회의 공정과 정의를 짓밟고 개인적 이익을 추구한 파렴치범들에게 반성할 기회도 주지 않고 구속된 지 9개월도 안 돼 서둘러 죄를 사면하는 것은 국민 눈높이에 맞지 않은 부당한 처사”라고 목소리를 높였다.
이들은 또한, "윤미향 전 이사장은 위안부 피해 할머니들을 위한 후원금과 국고보조금을 횡령한 혐의 등 총 8개 혐의로 4년 2개월간 재판을 받아왔으며, 2023년 12월 징역 1년에 집행유예 2년을 선고받았다"고 지적했다.
아을러 이들은 “윤미향 전 의원은 일본군 위안부 피해자 할머니들을 이용해 호의호식한 범죄자”라고 규정하고, “나라의 광복을 위해 희생하신 순국선열을 기리는 광복절 80주년에 사면을 단행하는 것은 국민정서에도 위배되는 처사”라고 비판했다.
그러면서, 이들은 "윤미향 전 의원이 판결 이후 “저것들은 나를 물어뜯고 있다”, “욕하는 것들이 참 불쌍하다”는 발언을 했다"라고 지적하며, “국민을 조롱하고, 대법원 확정 판결도 ‘억지 판결’이라며 사법부를 비웃고 있으며, 법원의 횡령금 반환 결정도 거부하고 반성의 기미가 전혀 없다”고 날을 세웠다.
부산여성100인행동은 '조국' 전 장관의 사면과 관련해서도 “우리 사회의 공정 가치를 파괴하고 청년들에게 상대적 박탈감과 좌절감을 안겨준 조국 전 대표 부부의 사면은 '국민통합시대 요구에 부응'이 아니라 ‘내편 봐주기식’ 불공정과 부당함의 극치”라고 주장했다.
이들은 ▲비리 정치인 조국, 윤미향 전 의원의 사면을 즉각 철회하라. ▲파렴치 범죄자들에게 면죄부를 주는 것은 순국선열에 대한 모독이다. 사면을 반대한다. ▲반성의 기미도 없는 범죄자들에 대한 특별사면을 규탄한다.등을 정부에 요구했다.

On August 13, the Busan Women’s 100 Action Group held a press conference at 10:20 a.m. in the briefing room of the Busan Metropolitan Council, strongly condemning the inclusion of former Justice for the Comfort Women Chairperson and former lawmaker Yoon Mee-hyang in the government's special Liberation Day pardon.
The group declared, “Granting a pardon to a shameless criminal who misappropriated donations meant for victims of Japanese military sexual slavery is nothing short of handing out a free pass for corruption.”
The group stated, “On the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day, the government is granting special pardons to Cho Kuk, former leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, who was imprisoned for university admissions fraud, and Yoon Mee-hyang, who was convicted of embezzling donations meant for comfort women survivors. What kind of message does this send? These shameless individuals who trampled on fairness and justice for their own gain are being pardoned less than nine months into their sentences, without even a chance to reflect. This is an unfair action that does not align with public expectations.”
The group also pointed out, “Former lawmaker Yoon Mee-hyang stood trial for 4 years and 2 months on eight charges, including embezzlement of government subsidies and donations intended to support former comfort women, and in December 2023, was sentenced to one year in prison with a two-year suspension.”
They added, “Yoon Mee-hyang is a criminal who lived comfortably while exploiting the comfort women survivors. Carrying out a special pardon for her on the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day--which honors those who gave their lives for the nation’s independence--is an act that contradicts the sentiments of the Korean people.”
The group further criticized, “After the verdict, Yoon made remarks such as ‘They are tearing me apart’ and ‘Those who criticize me are truly pitiful.’ She mocked the people, dismissed the Supreme Court’s final ruling as ‘an absurd verdict,’ and has refused to comply with the court’s order to return the embezzled funds. She has shown no signs of remorse.”
Addressing the pardon of Cho Kuk as well, the group stated, “The pardon of Cho Kuk and his spouse--who shattered the value of fairness in our society and left young people feeling deprived and hopeless--is not a move toward ‘national unity’ as claimed by the Lee Jae-myung administration. It is the height of injustice and favoritism.”
The Busan Women’s 100 Action Group concluded its statement with the following demands to the government: ▲Immediately revoke the pardons for corrupt politicians Cho Kuk and Yoon Mee-hyang. ▲Granting a pardon to shameless criminals is an insult to those who sacrificed their lives for the country. ▲We condemn the special pardon for criminals who have shown no remorse.
