충남 당진시가 지난 7월 중순 기록적인 집중호우 피해 복구를 위해 총 879억 원 규모의 재원을 확보하고 신속한 복구작업에 나섰다.
시에 따르면, 7월 16일부터 20일까지 이어진 폭우로 주택·상가 침수, 도로·제방 유실, 농경지 피해 등 총 7,689건, 294억 원 규모의 재산피해가 발생했다. 피해 유형별로는 공공시설 573건(179억 원), 사유시설 7,229건(115억 원)으로 집계됐다.
