【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=달성군이 지난 7월부터 9월까지 3개월간 관내 하천과 계곡의 불법 점용시설에 대한 집중 정비를 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 조치는 하천의 공공성과 자연성을 회복하고, 군민이 안전하고 쾌적하게 하천을 이용할 수 있는 환경 조성을 목표로 추진되고 있다.
군은 실태조사 결과를 바탕으로 정비가 완료된 이후에도 지속적인 모니터링과 계도 활동을 통해 불법 점용 행위를 근절하겠다는 방침이다.
정은주 부군수를 단장으로 하수하천과 등 5개 부서가 참여하는 불법점용시설 조치 전담팀을 구성하고, 전수 실태조사를 실시했다. 조사 결과 소하천과 도시공원 일대에서 불법 점용시설물 10건이 적발됐다.
군은 이 중 4건에 대해 자진 철거 계도를 통해 철거를 완료했으며, 나머지 6건도 행정 절차에 따라 조치가 진행 중이다.
현장 정비의 실효성을 높이기 위해 불법 점용시설 조치 전담팀은 8월 중순 불법 점용시설이 철거되지 않은 가창면 우록천 일대를 방문해 현장 점검을 실시했다.
정은주 부군수는 "무단으로 설치된 시설물은 안전사고의 원인이 되고 하천 본연의 기능을 저해할 수 있다"며 "불법 시설물 정비를 통해 군민들이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 깨끗한 하천환경을 조성하겠다"고 밝혔다.
