브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현정은 현대그룹 회장이 신입 매니저들을 만나 ‘용기와 도전’을 강조하며, 회사의 미래를 함께 개척해 나가자고 당부했다.
현정은 회장은 지난 8일 현대그룹 연지동 사옥 내 H-스타디움에서 열린 2025년 하반기 신입 매니저 교육 수료식에 참석해 직접 사령장을 전달하며, 사회 첫발을 디딘 직원들을 격려했다.
현대그룹은 매년 상‧하반기 ‘Starting the Hyundai Journey(현대에서 시작되는 여정)’라는 신입 매니저 입문 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
이 프로그램은 ‘신입 입문 과정 - 계열사별 직무교육 – 멘토링 - 글로벌 트립’으로 구성, 각 기수의 직무 특성과 성장 단계를 고려해 세심하게 맞춤형으로 입사 후 1년간 진행된다.
현 회장은 이날 격려사에서 ‘프로 도전러’라는 신조어를 언급하며 인생에서 용기있는 도전의 중요성을 강조했다.
현 회장은 “현대그룹은 수많은 시련과 역경을 극복하고 성장의 길을 찾아온 도전의 아이콘”이라며 “고 정주영 명예회장, 고 정몽헌 회장 등 수많은 현대인들이 ‘프로 도전러’로서 일군 터전”이라고 말했다.
이어 “이제는 여러분들이 바통을 이어받을 차례다. 실패도 성공의 과정, 용기 있게 회사 생활에 도전해 나가시길 바란다”고 격려했다.
현 회장은 지난해 수료식에서는 ‘원영적 사고를 긍정의 현대정신과 연결해달라’고 신입 매니저들에게 주문했다. ‘원영적 사고’는 걸그룹 아이브 멤버 장원영씨의 긍정적 사고방식을 의미하는 신조어다.
현대그룹 관계자는 “현정은 회장은 매년 상‧하반기 신입 매니저 수료식에 빠짐없이 참석해 격려의 말씀을 전하고 있다”며 “이는 젊은 세대와의 적극적인 소통을 통해 그룹의 미래를 함께 만들어 가려는 의지”라고 밝혔다.
