[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 2027년 부산대학교와 부산교육대학교의 통합을 앞두고, 양교 학생들이 먼저 머리를 맞대고 자치 통합과 공동체 형성에 대한 구체적 논의를 시작했다.
부산대와 부산교대는 8월 28일부터 29일까지 이틀간 경주 성호리조트에서 ‘2025 부산대–부산교대 학생회 하계 발전 네트워크 구축 워크숍’을 공동 개최했다. 이번 워크숍에는 양교 총학생회, 단과대 학생회, 동아리연합회, 일반 학생 등 총 118명이 참석했다.
행사는 부산대 총학생회 주관, 부산교대 비상대책위원회 공동 참여로 진행됐다. 양교 학생회가 함께하는 세 번째 공식 워크숍으로, 통합을 앞두고 학생 사회 간 이해 증진과 상호 연대를 위한 논의의 장으로 마련됐다.
워크숍은 청렴교육 특강을 시작으로, 양교 학생 대표자 간 공동 거버넌스 포럼, 캠퍼스 교류 및 공동 행사 제안 토의, 아이스 브레이킹 및 팀 빌딩 등의 프로그램으로 구성됐다. 특히 ‘2027년 통합 대비 학생 공동 거버넌스 구축 방안’을 주제로 한 특강에서는 각 학교의 학생회 운영 방식과 문화적 차이를 공유하고, 이를 바탕으로 자율성과 다양성을 보장하는 학생 자치 모델에 대한 구체적 전략이 논의됐다.
이 자리에서는 글로컬대학 본지정 이후의 변화 양상, 학사 운영 및 캠퍼스 환경 간 상호보완 방안, 공동행사의 정례화 필요성 등이 주요 의제로 다뤄졌다. 발표는 부산대 사범대학 학생회장과 부산교대 비상대책위원장이 공동으로 진행했다.

저녁 시간에는 10인 1조로 구성된 그룹 토의가 이어졌고, 통합대학의 정체성을 반영할 수 있는 슬로건 공모, 통합 캠퍼스 공동 행사 아이디어, SNS 통합 홍보 채널 구축 등 다양한 실천 과제가 제안됐다. 각 팀은 결과물을 발표하고 평가받는 과정을 거치며 높은 수준의 참여 열기를 보였다.
최수인 부산대 총학생회장은 “통합은 단순한 행정 절차가 아니라 구성원 간 신뢰와 상호 이해에서 출발해야 한다”며 “학생사회의 자발적인 만남과 연대를 통해 진정한 공동체로 나아가는 계기를 만들고자 한다”고 밝혔다.
이창근 부산대 학생처장(디자인학과 교수)은 “학생 주도의 소통과 상생을 제도적으로 지원할 수 있도록, 정례 교류와 학생회 정책 포럼 등을 꾸준히 추진할 계획”이라고 말했다.

-118 Students Participate in Joint Summer Workshop for Student Council Network Development
In preparation for the upcoming 2027 integration of Pusan National University (PNU) and Busan National University of Education (BNUE), students from both universities are taking the initiative to foster mutual understanding and envision a unified student community.
On August 28–29, the two universities jointly held the 2025 PNU–BNUE Student Council Summer Development Network Workshop at Seongho Resort in Gyeongju. A total of 118 participants—including representatives from general and college student councils, club federations, and other students—gathered to share visions and strategies for building a future joint student body.
The event was organized by the PNU Student Council, with the BNUE Emergency Response Committee as a co-host. This marks the third official workshop held between the two institutions, following the initial development network meeting in January 2024. The initiative aims to strengthen ties between the two student bodies and lay the groundwork for future joint projects and events.
The two-day program included sessions such as ethics education, a student governance forum, campus exchange discussions, and team-building activities. Central to the event was a special lecture on “Establishing Joint Student Governance in Preparation for the 2027 Integration,” where student leaders from both universities presented their current governance structures and discussed practical approaches for an inclusive and autonomous student model.
Key topics included the implications of the universities’ designation as a Glocal University, complementary academic and campus environment strategies, and the need for regular joint events. The session was co-led by the President of PNU’s College of Education Student Council and the Chair of BNUE’s Emergency Response Committee.
Evening discussions, conducted in groups of ten, generated a range of actionable ideas such as a slogan contest for the integrated university, proposals for joint campus events, and the creation of a unified SNS communication channel. Teams presented their ideas, which were then shared and evaluated by all participants.
PNU Student Council President Choi Su-in emphasized, “Integration should not be just an administrative merger—it must begin with trust and understanding among members. This workshop is a meaningful first step in building a true student community through voluntary cooperation.”
Lee Chang-geun, Dean of Student Affairs at PNU and professor in the Department of Design, added, “We will continue to support student-led communication and cooperation through institutional measures, including regular exchanges and policy forums between the student councils.”
