[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 28일부터 3일간 창원국제교육협력센터가 위치한 캄보디아 따게오주 쌈닷뽀안마을에 해외봉사단을 파견해 지역 주민과 아동을 대상으로 다양한 봉사활동을 펼치고 있다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 봉사는 ‘2025 아름다운 동행’이라는 슬로건 아래 국제개발협력 NGO인 (사)지구촌공생회 경남지부와 창원시 새마을회 회원 총 26명이 참여했다. 특히 창원시 새마을회는 올해 처음으로 시와 연계해 센터를 국제교류 사업지로 선정하고 센터 내 교문·화장실·세면장 등 노후시설의 개보수와 학용품 지원에 나섰다.
봉사단은 창원시 시립어린이집과 지역아동센터에서 기부한 물품과 창원시가 지원한 물품을 활용해 바자회를 열고, 교육봉사, 시설 보수 작업을 진행했다. 또한, 현지 의료봉사단과 협력해 무료 진료 및 보건위생 교육을 제공했다.
