[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시와 인제대학교는 29일 김해 아이스퀘어 호텔에서 ‘글로컬대학 지산학 연계사업 실행 워크숍’을 개최했다.
이번 워크숍에는 김해시 정책기획과·인구청년정책관·전략산업과·인재육성과 등 10개 부서와 인제대학교, 가야대학교, 김해대학교, 김해상공회의소 등 글로컬대학 참여기관 관계자 90여명이 참석했다.
김해시와 인제대는 지난해 11월 글로컬대학 연계사업 실무회의에서 글로컬대학 사업 기간 동안 추진할 연계사업과 기관 간 협력과제를 발굴했으며 올해 2월 워크숍을 시작으로 사업의 구체적인 실행계획안을 마련해 왔다.
김해시는 2026년 글로컬대학 연계사업을 발굴하고 글로컬대학 사업의 총괄 컨트롤타워로서 내년 상반기 출범예정인 김해인재양성재단의 핵심 추진사업을 구성하는 데 중점을 두고, 상반기 워크숍에서 논의된 후속 사업을 보완해 올해 사업의 성과를 분석하여 2차연도 글로컬대학 사업의 구체적인 실행계획을 수립했다.
이날 워크숍에서는 ▲지자체-대학 간 공동사업 발굴 결과 공유, 의견수렴 ▲김해인재양성재단 사업 발굴과 추진 방안 ▲글로컬대학 시민펀드 ‘올시티 바우처’ 프로그램 발굴 등 다양한 의제가 논의됐다.
김해시와 인제대는 워크숍에서 도출된 사업계획(안)을 바탕으로 오는 9월 말까지 김해시-인제대 담당자들이 구체화할 예정이며, 이는 2026년 상반기 김해인재양성재단 설립 후 본격적으로 실행할 계획이다.
인제대는 이번 워크숍을 계기로 현장캠퍼스 운영 고도화·맞춤형 인재양성·지역문제 해결형 프로젝트를 확산하고, 김해시는 글로컬대학과 RISE(지역혁신 중심 대학지원체계)사업을 연계해 지산학 협력의 지속가능 모델을 구축해 나갈 계획이다.
전민현 인제대 총장은 “지역사회가 함께 구체적 실행계획을 마련함으로써 재단의 성공적 설립과 운영 기반이 조성됐다”며 “체계적인 실행 로드맵을 통해 동부경남의 혁신 성과를 확산하겠다”고 말했다.
김해시 관계자는 “김해시와 인제대학교는 지난해부터 글로컬대학 연계사업 실무회의와 워크숍을 지속적으로 개최하여 공동의 사업을 구상해서 협업하고 있다”며 “기초지자체와 지역대학, 산업체가 모여 공동의 사업을 설계하는 전례는 찾기 힘들 정도로 매우 어렵지만 지역과 대학과 산업의 상생을 위해 꼭 필요한 단계”라고 말했다.
