[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 사천공항 확장 및 국제공항 승격 방안을 논의하고 국회에서 해법 모색을 위한 ‘우주항공길 사천 국제공항 승격 및 확장을 위한 정책토론회’가 1일 국회의원회관 제2소회의실에서 개최됐다.

토론회를 주최한 서천호 의원은 “사천공항은 단지 지역공항이 아니라, 우주항공청과 연계한 국가 전략공항으로 육성돼야 한다”며 “국제공항 승격 및 공항 확장사업은 대한민국 우주항공 산업을 뒷받침할 핵심 인프라 사업으로 제7차 공항개발종합계획에 포함될 수 있도록 모든 역량을 집중하겠다”고 밝혔다.
