[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] '2025 대한민국 이스포츠 리그(KEL) 이터널리턴 수퍼워크 대회가 오는 6일~ 7일 양 일간 경남 이스포츠 경기장(진주)에서 열린다.
대한민국 이스포츠 리그(KEL)은 2025년부터 문화체육관광부에서 지역 이스포츠 기반 조성하고자 주최하는 이스포츠 지역 리그로서 한국이스포츠협회, 경기종목 개발사가 공동으로 주관하며 경기 종목은 배틀그라운드 모바일(크래프톤), 이터널 리턴(님블뉴런), FC 모바일(넥슨코리아) 3개 종목이다.
지난 2월 27일 경남도-(주)님블뉴런-경남문화예술진흥원은 경남 이스포츠 산업 활성화를 위해 업무협약를 체결하고, 기존 온라인 경기로 진행하던 이터널리턴 종목 8주차 마지막 정규리그전을 오프라인으로 경남에서 개최하기 위해 지속적으로 협력해 왔다.
전국에서 지역을 대표하는 지역연고팀 12팀 48여 명이 참가하여 결선리그로 가는 마지막 승부를 겨루어 그 결과에 따라 결승전 진출 대상자가 결정되는 만큼 관람객들의 높은 관심이 기대된다. 경남에서는 경남스파클이스츠팀이 지역연고팀으로 참가한다.
이번 경기는 온라인 생중계 사이트(유튜브, SOOP, 치지직)을 통해 실시간 중계되며 직접관람을 위한 경기장을 찾는 방문객에게는 이터널리턴의 엠마 캐릭터 한정판 피규어 등을 기념품으로 지급할 예정이다.
경남 이스포츠 경기장 로비 및 주변에서는 다양한 홍보 및 체험 부스와 휴식공간 구성되어 있어 현장을 찾는 관람객들에게 다양한 편의를 제공할 계획이다.
12개 참가팀 홍보부스에서는 팀별 팬미팅과 팀 굿즈 판매가, 루미아 야시장에서는 이터널리턴 팬들 간의 구즈거래, 디폼 블록부스에서는 게임 캐릭터를 만드는 체험이 이루어지며 도내 관광지 홍보를 위한 관광홍보부스와 휴게공간 등도 구성되어 있다.
진필녀 경남도 문화산업과장은 “‘대한민국 이스포츠 리그 이터널리턴 수퍼위크 경남’은 신산업으로 떠오르고 있는 이스포츠 분야의 지역 기반 생태계를 강화하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다”라며, “앞으로도 게임 개발사, 지역 콘텐츠 지원기관 간 적극적 협력을 통해, 경남이 콘텐츠 거점 지역으로 도약할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
