[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남을 대표하는 국제 미술 축제인 제12회 경남국제아트페어(GIAF 2025)가 오는 11일 개막해 14일까지 4일간 창원컨벤션센터에서 열린다.
올해 아트페어의 주제는 “OWN THE MOMENT: Collect, Transform, Experience”로, 예술의 찬란한 순간을 포착하고 관람객과 교감을 통해 예술적 경험을 확장하는 여정을 제안한다.
이번 전시회에는 미국, 프랑스, 독일, 이탈리아, 일본, 중국, 러시아, 에콰도르, 한국 등 9개국 51개 갤러리가 참여해 회화, 조각, 영상, 설치미술, 판화, 사진 등 2,000여 점의 작품을 선보인다.
특히, 전시회에서는 세 가지 특별전이 마련된다. 특별관 A는 이은화 작가의 개인전으로 ‘환대의 방: 웰컴 VIP’는 파란색(관계), 분홍색(마음), 노란색(대화) 3색 방으로 불안과 불확실성의 시대에 예술을 통한 위로의 메시지를 전한다.
특별관 B는 ‘한국 현대 미술 특별전’으로 안재덕, 전혁림, 김동유, 이림, 김병종 등 5명 작가가 참여하여 지역과 세대를 넘어 현대미술의 다채로운 흐름을 조망한다.
특별관 C 까르찌나 갤러리가 선보이는 러시아 리얼리즘부터 모더니즘까지 ‘낭만 FROM RUSSIA’는 러시아 리얼리즘 회화의 거장 미하일 쿠가츠, 올가 불가코바 등 각기 다른 미학을 품은 대표작 100여 점이 관람객의 발길을 사로잡을 예정이다.
또한, 기획전에서는 김춘재 작가, 김재각 작가, 방상환 작가가 참여하여 ‘산업과 예술이 공존하는 경남’을 주제로 문화예술 산업도시로서의 과거·현재·미래를 작품으로 소개한다.
이번 아트페어는 관람객을 위한 프로그램과 공간도 마련한다.
미술 트렌드부터 미술품의 가치와 예술의 사회적 역할 등 다양한 주제의 아트토크(9월12일~14일), 작품 이해를 돕는 프라이빗 오디오 도슨트, 어린이 전용 미술 체험 공간 키즈라운지(‘I am the Flower’), 예술과 미식이 결합된 F&B 라운지, 지역 전통주와 청년작가 작품을 콜라보한 아트페어 한정판 전통주도 판매한다.
경남관광재단 관계자는 “이번 아트페어는 단순한 미술 전시가 아니라, 예술과 산업, 지역과 세계를 연결하는 융합의 장이 될 것”이라며 “경남이 가진 문화예술의 저력을 국내외에 알리고, 지역 미술시장 활성화에도 기여할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
