인천시에 따르면, 이번 협약은 인천형 행정체제 개편에 따라 행정정보시스템 데이터 전환의 성공적인 수행을 위해 인천시와 한국지역정보개발원(KLID)이 힘을 모으는 자리였다.
협약식에는 유정복 인천시장과 박덕수 한국지역정보개발원장이 참석했으며, 협약의 주요 내용은 행정정보시스템(지방세, 주민전산 등 397종)에 포함된 85억 건의 표준코드(행정동, 법정동, 기관, 도로명 코드) 전환을 성공적으로 추진하고, 개편 이후 서비스 안정화를 지원하기 위해 긴밀한 협력 관계를 유지하는 것이다.
