브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 카카오가 카카오톡 ‘친구’ 탭 인터페이스(UI)를 기존의 가나다순 전화번호부 형태로 되돌린다. 인스타그램처럼 제공되던 피드형 게시물은 별도 메뉴에서 확인할 수 있도록 분리된다.
카카오는 29일 “이용자 의견을 적극 반영해 카카오톡 친구 탭 개선을 추진한다”고 밝혔다. 이에 따라 기존 ‘친구 목록’이 친구 탭 첫 화면으로 복원되며, 현재의 피드형 게시물은 별도 ‘소식’ 메뉴를 통해 제공될 예정이다. 이 같은 개선 방안은 개발 일정을 고려해 4분기 내 적용될 계획이다.
또한 카카오는 미성년 이용자 보호 절차도 간소화한다. 지난 27일 ‘지금’ 탭(숏폼) 내에 ‘미성년자 보호조치 신청’ 메뉴를 신설해 접근성을 높였으며, 앞으로 신청·설정 절차를 더욱 간편하게 할 수 있는 방안을 추가 검토 중이다.
카카오 관계자는 “친구 탭 UI 복원 외에도 다양한 UX·UI 개선 작업을 지속하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 이용자 피드백을 적극 경청해 카카오톡을 더욱 편리하게 만들겠다”고 말했다.

KakaoTalk Reverts to Previous 'Friends' Tab UI Following User Complaints
