【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박영재 기자=(재)영덕문화관광재단(이사장 김광열, 이하 재단)은 오는 10월 26일 영덕군 별파랑공원에서 반려동물과 함께하는 ‘제1회 영덕 멍멍 트래킹’ 행사를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 전국 1,400만 반려동물 양육 인구를 대상으로 영덕의 반려견 관광 활성화를 도모하기 위해 추진 중인 ‘블루로드 반려견 동반 트래킹 프로그램’의 일환으로 마련됐다.
앞서 재단은 지난 8월, 반려견 동반 관광객이 영덕 블루로드 명소에서 인증사진을 찍고 지역 식당을 방문하는 미션을 수행하면 영덕사랑상품권을 지급하는 이벤트를 진행해 큰 호응을 얻은 바 있다.
이번 ‘제1회 영덕 멍멍 트래킹’은 한층 업그레이드된 구성으로 눈길을 끈다. 참가비 1만 원은 전액 영덕사랑상품권으로 환급되며, 메인 프로그램으로는 TV 프로그램 *‘개는 훌륭하다’*에서 활약 중인 이웅종 교수의 특별 강연 및 반려견 행동 교정 코칭이 진행된다.
이외에도 ▲반려견과 함께 별파랑 둘레길을 걸으며 행운을 찾는 보물찾기 이벤트, ▲반려견과 달리며 장애물을 넘는 어질리티 미니 운동회, ▲세상에 하나뿐인 반려견 목걸이 만들기, ▲반려견 캐리커처 및 타로 체험 등 다양한 체험 프로그램이 운영된다.
또한 현장에서는 반려견 건강상담과 위생미용 서비스, 반려견 용품·간식 판매 부스도 마련돼 참가자들에게 풍성한 즐길 거리를 제공할 예정이다.
재단 관계자는 “이번 행사를 통해 반려동물과 함께 영덕의 아름다운 가을을 만끽하며 특별한 추억을 쌓길 바란다”며 “이를 계기로 영덕이 반려동물 친화 관광도시로 자리매김하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation to Host '1st Yeongdeok Dog Tracking'
The Yeongdeok Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Kim Gwang-yeol, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced that it will host the '1st Yeongdeok Dog Tracking' event with pets at Byeolparang Park in Yeongdeok County on Sunday, October 26th.
This event is part of the 'Blue Road Dog-Friendly Trekking Program,' which aims to revitalize dog tourism in Yeongdeok among the 14 million pet owners nationwide.
The Foundation previously hosted an event in August where visitors with their dogs received Yeongdeok Love Gift Certificates for completing missions such as taking commemorative photos at Yeongdeok Blue Road attractions and visiting local restaurants. This event received a great response.
This '1st Yeongdeok Dog Tracking' is attracting attention with its upgraded content. The 10,000 won participation fee will be fully refunded in the form of a Yeongdeok Love Gift Certificate. Furthermore, on-site dog health consultations, grooming services, and a booth selling dog supplies and snacks will provide participants with a wealth of entertainment.
A foundation representative stated, "We hope this event will allow participants to enjoy Yeongdeok's beautiful autumn with their pets and create special memories. We hope this will serve as a catalyst for Yeongdeok's establishment as a pet-friendly tourist destination."
