파주문화재단은 창립 1주년을 기념해 오는 10월 18일 토요일 오후 5시 운정행복센터 대공연장에서 <파주 뮤지컬 갈라콘서트>를 개최한다.

이번 공연은 재단이 걸어온 1년의 여정을 시민과 함께 돌아보고 성장을 다짐하는 의미 있는 자리다.
지난해 11월 출범한 파주문화재단은 '시민이 중심이 되는 문화도시, 파주'를 비전으로 삼아 1년 동안 다양한 문화예술 사업을 펼쳐왔다.
재단은 파주 시민의 삶과 가까운 곳에서 공연·전시 지원, 지역 예술인 창작활동 지원, 생활문화활동 지원, 문화예술교육, 지역축제 운영 등 폭넓은 활동을 이어오며 지역문화의 저변을 확대해왔다.
이번 갈라 콘서트는 1년간의 성과를 시민과 나누고 앞으로를 향한 첫걸음을 내딛는 상징적 무대다.
한국 뮤지컬계의 대표 배우 최정원, 이건명, 박소연이 출연해 "All That Jazz", "황금별", "대성당들의 시대" 등 국내외 명작 뮤지컬의 주요 넘버를 선보일 예정이며 관객들은 화려한 라이브 무대와 깊이 있는 감정선, 감동적인 하모니를 가까이에서 느낄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
김영준 파주문화재단 대표이사는 "지난 1년의 경험을 바탕으로, 문화가 일상이 되고 시민 모두가 예술의 주체로 함께할 수 있는 파주를 만들어가기 위해 앞으로도 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
