김운남 고양특례시의회 의장은 23일 의장실에서 고양산업진흥원 한동균 원장 등 관계자들과 간담회를 갖고 지역 창업 생태계 조성과 산업 발전 방향에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
이번 간담회는 고양산업진흥원이 중소벤처기업부로부터 경기도 최초로 공공형 창업기획자로 등록된 것을 기념해 마련됐다.

이 자리에서는 그간의 성과를 공유하고 향후 발전 계획을 논의했다.
창업기획자 제도는 「벤처투자 촉진에 관한 법률」에 근거한 창업보육 및 투자 전문 자격으로, 초기 창업자를 선발·투자하고 멘토링, 컨설팅, 교육, 사업화 지원 등 전문보육을 통해 성공 가능성을 높이는 것을 주요 업무로 한다.
김운남 의장은 "고양시는 여전히 산업 기반이 충분히 갖춰지지 않아 많은 기업이 성장의 기회를 찾아 외부로 나가고 있는 현실"이라며 "이번 등록을 계기로 창업기업이 지역 안에서 뿌리를 내리고 성장할 수 있는 여건이 만들어지길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "고양시가 산업의 씨앗이 자라고, 혁신이 열매 맺는 도시로 발전할 수 있도록 시의회도 적극 지원하겠다"며 "좋은 성과를 이끌어낸 고양산업진흥원 관계자들의 노고에 감사드린다"고 격려했다.
한편, 고양산업진흥원은 오는 28일 '2025년 고양 글로벌 투자 유치 서밋 통합 행사'를 개최해 해외 투자자와의 교류 및 협력을 강화하고, 고양시를 글로벌 혁신 창업의 거점으로 도약시키기 위한 다양한 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
