파주시가 경기도 아파트 태양광 시범사업에 선정된 청석마을 운정동문디이스트 아파트의 태양광 발전설비 준공식을 23일 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 입주자대표회(대표 이관권)의 적극적인 참여로 추진된 시민참여형 에너지 전환사업으로, 행정 주도가 아닌 민간의 자발적 의지로 완성됐다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

사업비는 경기도와 파주시가 각각 40%씩 총 80%를 지원했으며, 아파트 옥상에 30kW 규모의 태양광 발전설비가 설치됐다.
이를 통해 아파트 단지 공용전기 사용량이 크게 절감될 것으로 기대된다.
준공식에는 입주자 대표, 관리소장, 노인회장 등 아파트 관계자와 시민들이 참석해 옥상에 설치된 태양광 설비를 직접 살펴봤다.
한 참석자는 "공용전기료 절감 등 실질적 혜택이 기대된다"며 "이런 좋은 취지의 사업이 다른 아파트로도 확산되길 바란다"고 말했다.
행사 표어는 입주민이 직접 선정한 '우리 아파트, 이제 발전합니다'로, 아파트가 스스로 전력을 생산하는 첫걸음을 뗐다는 의미를 담았다.
