파주시는 지난 25일 운정체육공원에서 ‘2025 운정1·2동 한마음 체육대회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 운정1동과 2동 주민들이 한 자리에 모여 화합과 우정을 다지는 자리로 꾸려졌다.
청명한 가을 하늘 아래 다채로운 경기와 공연이 펼쳐지며 참가자들 사이에 활력과 즐거움이 넘쳤다.
행사에는 김경일 파주시장, 박대성 파주시의회 의장, 김종훈 파주체육회장 등 내빈과 함께 지역 주민 약 1,000여 명이 참석했으며 개회식과 각종 경기로 구성된 일정은 남녀노소 누구나 참여할 수 있도록 마련되어 주민 간 교류를 촉진했다.
김경일 파주시장은 축사에서 “운정1·2동 주민들이 한 자리에 모여 화합하는 모습을 보니 매우 보기 좋다”라며, “시민과 함께라면 파주는 100만 자족도시로 성장할 것”이라고 말했으며 또한 주민 화합과 지역 발전의 중요성을 강조했다.
이대영 운정2동 체육회장은 개회사를 통해 “행정구역은 다르지만 같은 생활권을 공유하는 두 동이 오늘 대회를 통해 더욱 긴밀히 연결되길 바란다”고 전했으며. 대회 준비에 힘쓴 관계자와 주민들에게 감사의 뜻도 함께 전했다.
